Find The System That's Right For You

After being on the road all these years, the question I get most is "swing or sliding" for gate solutions. While both make for ideal choices in automated gates the decision depends on your site access, budget and preferred style.

Swing Gates

Swing gates are a practical and affordable choice for farms, properties and business driveways with enough space for the gate to open freely. They are generally simpler and less expensive to install than sliding gates while still providing reliable automated access.

Benefits

Installation Costs

Swing gates generally have lower upfront and installation costs than sliding gates because they don’t require a ground track or extensive preparation.

Flexibility

Depending on your driveway layout and available space, a swing gate can be set up to open inward or outward to suit your property.

Wide Range

Swing gates can work with everything from simple farm gates through to larger decorative or heavy-duty gates, giving you flexibility in style, material and budget.

Sliding Gates

Sliding gates are a strong and practical choice for properties with enough room beside the entrance for the gate to slide open. While installation can require more preparation than a swing gate, they provide a secure, reliable solution that works particularly well for wider driveways and busy entrances.

Benefits

Space Efficient

Slides horizontally alongside the entrance instead of swinging into the driveway.

Secure

Provides a solid physical barrier, making it a great option for farms and properties.

Wider Entrances

Sliding gates work well across larger driveways where a wide opening is required.

Considerations

Cost

Swing gates are generally more affordable to install, while sliding gates can cost more due to the larger gate, track and additional groundwork required.

Preparation

Sliding gates usually require a suitable concrete pad and track, whereas swing gates mainly require strong supporting posts for the gate and automation.

Space

Swing gates need clear space in front of or behind the entrance to open, while sliding gates need enough room beside the driveway for the gate to slide back.

What Our Customers Say

Hear from people just like you, who have benefited from our "auto-gate" solutions.

Tania, Caboolture

I met John at the Caboolture Markets, and was in a hurry as usual. I asked how they work and he demonstrated the gates in operation and he gave me a price guideline. It was that easy, don't wait!

Kevin, Kooralbyn

Thank you for all your help and advice after meeting you and your display at the Boonah Show. I have been very impressed with my dealings with you and the great workmanship of your installer Kurt from Adept Garage Doors who so professionally did the installation of your automation systems.

I had expressly sought out an automatic gate solution purely based on convenience, but more latterly, an extra layer of security for my property.

Now I feel far happier and feel far more secure with the end result.'

FAQS

How much does it cost?

To simplify and streamline our offer, clients are offered fully operational sliding, swing, solar powered or hard wired automation packages to get you well and truly up and running, starting from less than $1700.

Clients then have the opportunity to add extra options to suit their particular needs and circumstances - e.g. wireless keypads, extra remotes, ball hinges, electronic gate locks etc. A number of these options can very easily be added at a later date to suit your budget and changing needs.

Auto Gate Solutions do not manufacture gates, however we are able to recommend trusted and proven gate manufacturers if requested. Gate prices can vary enormously from a basic farm gate to very elaborate and expensive designs.

Auto Gate Solutions do recognize that clients are sometimes time poor and would prefer a 'complete package' solution of automation, gate manufacture (to clients specifications and budget) and installation, which we are happy to organize.

How long does installing take?

Delivery of the automation componentry is within 5-7 business days of receipt of payment. Orders are generally dispatched out of the Letron warehouse in Victoria.

Note: this of course does not take into account any delays incurred in a possible gate manufacture. We do provide very comprehensive installation instructions for our gate automation systems, in fact the majority of all our sales are generally installed by the client.

However, if you are time poor or would prefer contracting that out, we have a team of experienced sub contractors who will complete that task, generally offering a 1yr installation warranty for peace of mind.
